Welcome to Center

Whether you’ve attended church your entire life or never at all, we know it’s not easy visiting a church for the first time. You’re not quite sure what to expect and you probably have a lot of questions. At Center, we want to give you the best experience possible with love and grace from the moment you step in the door. To help you, here are some answers to possible questions you may have.

What Time Are Your Services?

Weekend
Sunday Worship at 10:30am
Sunday School at 9:30 for all ages

Midweek Classes
Wednesday at 6:30pm (Nursery and Pre-K/Center Kids (grades 1-5) / Thrive Students (middle and high school)/ Pastor’s Bible Study and Prayer Time

What Should I Wear?

At Center we want you to feel comfortable to come as you are. We welcome jeans, t-shirts, suits, ties, you get the idea. On Sundays you will see people wearing clothes ranging from dressy to casual. Whether you live in our community or are on vacation enjoying our beautiful mountains, we want you to come as you are!

How Do I Get There?

Center is located one mile north of Helen right off Hwy 75 headed to Hiwassee. Turn on Curtis road (just past the road to turn to Unicoi State Park) and you will see our church at the top of the hill

What happens when I get there?

When you come to the top of hill you can park right in front of the church or even in the field right in front of the church. As you enter through the main entrance, you can expect a warm welcome from our greeters. Make sure you receive a bulletin that will tell all that is going on at Center. Then, find a seat wherever you like. You will find the restrooms just past the door on the left of the sanctuary.

What are your services like?

We offer two services at Center at 8:00 and 10:45. We begin each service with a welcome time and then a time of prayer. Prayer and making folks feel welcome is a priority at Center and that is why we start our services this way. The 8:00 service is very traditional with hymns and southern gospel favorites as special music.

For our 10:45 worship services at center offers a blend of dynamic, contemporary worship songs and hymns prepared to invite everyone to participate, no matter where you are on your spiritual journey. We also have a dynamic choir in this service. Pastor Michael preaches the same sermon in both services. The Sermons are presented in a way that challenges you to connect, reflect, and act upon your relationship with God.

After the sermon there is always an opportunity for people to respond to the message by way of an invitation.

What about my kids?

Here at Center kids are a priority. We have a nursery for babies thru 3 years old staffed by amazing workers each Sunday. Our nursery is located just through the door on the left beside the choir and you will find the nursery in the sanctuary. For those who are ages 3-6 we have children’s church right after the song service each week.
